MacBook Logic Board
When dealing with removing the MacBook logic board there are some rather obvious differences over PC motherboards. This is not a job for anyone who does not possess at least some experience with replacing logic boards in general. Be sure you have all of the necessary tools ahead of time in order to allow for a smooth process. The overall layout and design will be noticeably different until you get used to replacing a MacBook logic board.

When replacing logic boards on new or refurbished laptops in the field you may find that the need for some place to keep all of the screws can become an issue. I used to use a piece of packaging foam from the box which the replacement board came in, to hold all of the tiny screws in their own little areas so that I could actually keep track of the various sizes. Some PC laptops as well as Apple laptops will have a rather annoying variety of different sized screws to have to deal with when changing out the logic board.
