Dell Laptops Under $300

Dell Laptop Reviews - Inspiron 1525

What we discovered during our Dell Inspiron 1525 review was that the combination of the Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 processor running at 2.0GHz while on the 800MHz FSB (Front Side Bus) is a pretty decent combination with the 3GB of DDR2 memory in this Dell laptop. This is definitely one of the better cheap dell Inspiron laptops.

During our Dell laptop reviews we tested some mid-range games, watched DVDs on battery power only, and had several applications running while surfing the web without any hesitation to speak of from the system.

The operating system used in our Dell laptop review was Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition which had been updated with Service Pack 1 installed. This Dell laptop came with a 320GB SATA hard drive offering lots of room for storing data such as music, movies, pictures, and so on.

Our Jet Black (our selection includes several color choices) Inspiron 1525 review laptop had a nice six cell battery, and also the Dell wireless 1505 Wireless-N Mini-Card for quite reliable and easy connectivity to the Internet via hot spots and other wireless networks.

This model had a good sized wide screen LCD panel at 15.4” and ran at a maximum resolution of 1280x800. The video was powered by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 which was clear and well defined. High Definition Audio 2.0 rounds out the multimedia side of things.

The Inspiron 1525 is not only one of the better Dell used laptop models we have seen, it is really quite a serious multimedia Dell laptop. This can be a fairly cheap laptop and we have a terrific selection of them with starting prices on these laptops under $300.

  • Dell laptops over the years have changed in features right along side of all the other major laptop manufacturers and the quality and reliability of them has been fairly consistent.

The Dell laptops have always been favorites of mine to work on as a laptop technician over the years because they are designed very smart and functional which in the end makes it easy to troubleshoot and even dismantle them when necessary.

One of the really popular Dell used laptop auction models is the Latitude D600 which sells for really low prices yet its design, power, and useful features are what many people are looking for in a quality used laptop computer these days.

The D600 offers built-in wireless capabilities making it really easy to surf the web from any hot spot you may be within range of. Some people use this as a means to stay connected when they are traveling while other people use this as their main way of connecting to the Internet.

Another reason why this low cost Dell used laptop auction mainstay is so popular with business people and students alike is the fact that it has all the basic features necessary to perform the basic computer functions. Recording, watching, and storing movies is a breeze and it is just capable of running popular business and office applications.

It is a basic laptop but if you do not need the extra features which you may never use anyway then save yourself some money and just pay for what you really need.

Often this model will come with an Intel 1.7GHz processor with a full 2MB LC cache which has been proven to run both cool and reliably over the years. Many users state that this model has exceptionally fast boot times and application load times. This may be true but we do want to point out that you must keep your laptops operating system in healthy condition in order to see any results such as these.

The Dell True Mobile wireless card uses the Broadcom chipset which is known for reliability and ease of use when it comes to managing you wireless network connections. Today 802.11 b/g is compatible with nearly all hot spots and offers up to 54mbps connection speeds.
