Alienware Aurora m9700 Review

Our Alienware Aurora m9700 laptop review is of an SLI graphics laptop which means you have two video cards working together through the SLI (Serial Line Interface) configuration. This laptop is essentially a portable PC; and a rather powerful PC to say the least. Alienware laptops have always been well known for being very fine gaming laptops. It can be a little difficult finding a cheap Alienware laptop. Our used Alienware laptops can be computers that are only a couple of years old, and most are in extremely fine condition.

Getting back to our Aurora m9700 laptop review, the LCD is a bright, clear 17” Wide XGA+ 1440x900 resolution with Clearview Technology and offers exceptional graphics performance. This Aurora m9700 is SLI enabled providing us with awesome frame rates. We were able to play Call of Duty 4 at all max settings with no anti-aliasing or artifact issues and all at 60 plus Frames Per Second. Although this is usually not a cheap Alienware laptop, it can be found in our selection of used Alienware laptops at greatly discounted prices.

Among the many great features found during this laptop review were the dual SATA hard drives with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition with Service Pack 1 installed, the Dual 256MB NVidia GeForce Go 7900 GS SLI enabled video cards, High-Definition audio with surround sound, and 2GB of Dual Channel memory.

With the 2.0GHz AMD Turion 64 Moble ML37 processor and the Alienware NVIDIA Mobile SLI Chipset motherboard, the 3DMark numbers, as well as the other tests we ran, proved the Aurora m9700 to be another excellent gaming laptop from Alienware laptops.
