Dell D610 Laptops For Under 200
Among the various cheap laptops under 200 dollars we see each day are some great standards like the Dell D610 Latitude model.
This laptop provides the user with an Intel Pentium M processor typically in the 1.8GHz range depending on the original configuration. This particular incarnation of the Pentium M uses a 2MB L2 cache with a 533MHz bus. This was at one time an impressive specification yet obviously these days this would be considered quite slow compared to the much faster dual and quad core processors found in laptops.
The older cheap laptops under 200 today do provide people the opportunity to own examples of what used to be quite cutting edge in the world of portable computing. Just because these are not as fast as the new models does not mean that they are not reliable and quick. They can provide a solid basis for normal computing tasks just as they were designed to do. Among the standard features found in the D610 is an S-Video TV out port, USB, serial port and parallel port. Yes, this is an older laptop as you really don’t see specs like this on newer models but you will frequently find this on the laptops under $200 however.
The diagonal screen size is 14.1 inches. The SXGA display is capable of delivering 1400 x 1050 at 262,000 colors. This model also came with an internal Mini PCI Wi-Fi card and optional Bluetooth wireless capabilities.
One interesting note about the D610 is that they have both integrated and discrete video options. Back when this laptop was first release it would have appealed to those looking for a fast, reliable business class laptop computer with an emphasis on producing quality video in a variety of situations. These days these are basically great laptops for under $200 which still happens to be able to provide people with a solid cheap laptop option.
